Less than 24 hours after it was announced that Mauro Berruto has enough support inside the Italian Volleyball Federation to remain the head coach of the national team, the situation is different.
According to some media including credible Gian Luca Pasini from gazzetta.it, Berruto is, at the time, closer to resign from his job and to be succeeded by Gianlorenzo Blengini, the new coach of Cucine Lube Banca Marche Civitanova.
„I don’t deny anything, things are happening and they should be clarified. I’ll wait for a moment before speaking about it…,“ Berruto stated for „Italpress“ about the rumors of his resignation.
The Italian Volleyball Federation denies this possibility, at the moment, as this website also writes.
A stone of stumbling between Berruto and Italian VF is his decision te exclude the quartet of players before the Finals Six of the 2015 World League.
