As gazzetta.it published, outside hitter/receiver Antonella Del Core will be the new captain of Italy. She will wear the armband for the first time at the upcoming European Championship.
It is unknown why previous captain Valentina Arrighetti lost this privilege after the 2015 World Grand Prix.
