Algeria
The trio of Carolina Costagrande, Simona Gioli and Lucia Bosetti has performed as expected as well as Antonella De Core and the rest of the Italian cast. Algeria are going through a process of refurbishment while using the tournament as a learning experience for some of the young players in the roster. The two teams have played each other only twice with the European side winning both matches by 3-0 in the Beijing Olympics and last year’s World Cup in Japan.
