The Italian side confirmed this transfer on the club’s official website. Sanja Starović has signed a contract with Liu Jo Modena and has therefore returned to Italy after 10 years!
Back then she played for Vicenza and Castelfidardo, while then the road took her to Turkey and Azerbaijan. She was part of Gaziantep (2006-2008), before joining Rabita Baku (2008-2014), where she won 6 national titles!
Serbian opposite then returned to Turkey. She spent one year in Besiktas (2014/15), while then she moved to Balikesir. Still, Starović did not stay there for too long. She left the club and decided to return to Serbia to play for Dinamo Pančevo while waiting for some good offer… And it has finally arrived from Italy.
Liu Jo Modena will therefore continue the season with two top class opposites – Sanja Starović and Valentina Diouf.
