ITA M: Saatkamp dominated in Piacenza, Padova shocked Verona!

by WoV

Modena, Trentino and Perugia scored wins in the 18th round of the Italian Championship, but what happened to Verona?

The derby of the day was placed in Piacenza where the Reds hosted Modena. Still, instead of a thrilling clash, we got a straight sets win of the visitors. Lucas Saatkamp was just too good this evening. He scored 20 points and led the Yellow squad toward a valuable road triumph.

Trentino also finished the job in just three sets. The reigning champions ran over Molfetta, with Tine Urnaut being the top scorer with 11 points.

At the same time, Perugia scored a win against Monza, but picked up only 2 points from this game! The Block Devils were two sets ahead, while then they dropped the lead and had to play the tie-break. Still, Atanasijević and Co. were vistorious in the fifth set.

Finally, Padova made the upset of the day as they defeated Verona at home court! Alexander Berger made a fantastic performance by scoring 24 points for the hosts.
