Italy continue to impress at the Women’s Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan, a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23) win against a plucky Dominican Republic team confirming they are the front runners for one of four Olympic tickets on offer this week.
The top scorers in the winning team were Serena Ortolani and Antonella Del Core who scored 15 points each, while Fatima Sylla added 14. On the other side, 19-year-old Brayelin Martinez made 23 points for Dominican Republic.
