In expectations of Massimo Colaci's arrival, who is projected to be the starting libero for Sir Safety Conad Perguia, Italian vice champions hired his replacement for the next season.

Veteran libero Andrea Bari reached an agreement with Perugia for the season 2016/2017. The 36-year-old player came from CMC Romagna. Thus, Perugia will obviously have a set of new liberos in the next season – Colaci and Bari instead of Andrea Giovi (goes to Calzedonia Verona) and Fabio Fanuli (goes to Ninfa Latina).

Although it seemed Simone Buti was near the exit door of Perugia until recently, now the situation is changed. The middle blocker will likely remain in Serie A1 silver medalists.
