Serie A1 returnees after two years, Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, will definitely play next season in the South American rhythm.

After hiring Argentinian coach Waldo Kantor and signing with Brazilian receiver/outside hitter Carlos Barreto ’Kadu’, Vibo Valentia acquired another Brazilian. The middle blocker Deivid Júnior Costa arrrived from Funvic/Taubaté.

He is a player from the proven experience and with a long career spent in the Brazilian Superliga. In young age he was MVP and Best Blocker at the 2007 World Youth Championship in Morocco.

Deivid is recognizable by wearing special glasses during games. The reason for that is keratoconus in his left eye (a degenerative disorder of the eye) which he got in 2013 and due to which he missed 2013/2014 season.
