The Cuban men probably signed because most of the rest of the national team are in Jail after being convicted of RAPE in Finland. the incident occurred last year while the were playing in a FIVB world league tournament and initially 8 or 9 of the team were arrested. 5 were convicted. The whole thing casts a very bad cloud over Volleyball and the FIVB have banned the Cuban men’s ( and women’s ) teams from participating in 2017. What it has to do with the WOMEN is beyond me. But FIVB are apparently not needing to justify their actions Another example of their abuse of power ?

@cuban Of course they will say it is their decision! Do you think your federation will say: We are out because Of the 6 crazy guys who destroyed our image????
