Leading scorer in the past three seasons in Serie A suffered an injury in his left leg this summer and had to undergo surgery. Without him, Sir Safety Conad Perugia lost Italian Super Cup final and struggled with LPR Piacenza at Serie A1 opening.
„The return time is getting closer because tomorrow I will begin practicing in the pool and also doing small jumps and small movements. We will see how tibia will react, but if all goes as I hope, next week I will start to train with the team and for me it will be a great happiness. I’m confident because I am much better. But I do not hide that I suffered and still suffering a lot by staying out,“ Atanasijević said to gazzetta.it.
