Bartosz Kurek, who recently terminated a contract with Japanese JT Thunders Hiroshima because he needed a rest, might return to the team which made him famous – PGE Skra Bełchatów!
“We did not yet finalize the transfer of Dražen Luburić to Japan, so I can’t talk on the subject of hiring new player. And what will happen then? We’ll see. I read a statement from Bartek (Bartosz Kurek) and I know as much as everyone else. Over the years in the sport I’ve learned that you can never say never. When we finalize the transfer of Luburić maybe we can talk on this topic, I will not rule it out…” President of Skra, Konrad Piechocki, mysteriously said for Dziennik Łódzki.
Kurek has spent one part of preparations for this season with Skra whose member he was from 2008-2012 and with whom he took Polish Championship title three times.
Recall that upon Kurek’s departure from Thunders, Japanese side decided to hire Serbian opposite from Skra, Dražen Luburić. So far, the transfer has not been realized and Luburić still trains with Skra.
Mariusz Wlazły and Bartosz Kurek as opposites in the same team? It would be a dream duo, better simply could not be imagined, don’t you think?
