In the final round of the regular season, Trentino and Perugia were fighting for the 2nd place on the standings. Two sides were all tied in the overall number of wins and of points, while Trentino had just a bit better set-ratio. And, by beating Monza in straight sets it was clear that Trentino would keep the 2nd place, regardless of the fact that Perugia also triumphed in straight sets against Verona.
The Playoffs will start already next weekend, while the the quarterfinals will be played in best of 3 format.
