In the finals of the „Mimmo Bellomo Trophy“ in Castellanza, Italy, Legnano beat Serie A1 rivals in the upcoming season Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio 3-1 (25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20) thanks to 25 points from a 19-year-old opposite Camilla Mingardi. Valentina Diouf scored 21 for Busto.
Division 2 side Savallese Millenium Brescia won the third place, while last season’s top division contestants Club Italia CRAI finished fourth.
