Chono-Penchev
An American youngster Jennings Franciskovic, who came this summer from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa volleyball team, the Rainbow Warriors, has some physical problems so, Modena coach Stoytchev can rely only on the Brazilian Bruno Rezende ‘Bruninho’ on a setter position. Thus, the Bulgarian expert decided to add his compatriot Chono Penchev to the roster, according to Gian Luca Pasini.
A 22-year-old Chono, a twin brother of Rozalin Penchev (a member an Argentine side Personal Bolívar) and a younger sibling of Nikolay Penchev, who defends the colors of PGE Skra Bełchatów from Poland, trains with Modena for a month. Last season, he has worn the jersey of the Greek top division team Iraklis Thessaloniki.
There is still no official confirmation of the transfer by an Italian club.
