The winning side had four double-digit players in the match, led by the Brazilian Adenízia da Silva and Swedish Isabelle Haak who poured in 18 points apiece. In, ’Foppa’, the Serbian Sanja Malagurski scored 26 points.
Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena nearly dropped a 2-0 lead against Saugella Team Monza on the road but prevailed in the tie-break. Both sides had as much as five players scoring 10 points more. The Croatian Katarina Barun-Šušnjar put down 21 points for the winning side, while the Bosnian international Edina Begić scored 18 for Monza.

In a duel between the two last season’s Division 2 sides, Sab Volley Legnano beat Lardini Filottrano thanks to 18 points from Camilla Mingardi. Serie A1 rookie from the USA, Annie Mitchem, topped Filottrano with 22 points.
