Michele Fedrizzi (Marmi Lanza Verona): “We didn’t make the right decisions in the clutch time of each set. We had to do better in attack knowing the quality of Cuneo’s blocking but it’s not always easy. Cuneo put us under pressure with Sokolov’s serve, we did our best in the second set but then they stepped up. Shame the third set went like that, we started up fine but then they escaped like in the first set, but it was nice to win that second set”.
Roberto Piazza (Coach Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “We played a decent game, we lost the second set but we’re coming off two very tricky games against Piacenza and Rzeszow when we haven’t been able to train, we have only played and travelled, with a complicated come-back home. The thing I liked today was the capacity of the boys to turn things around in the third when we were 3-0 down. But my boys have to think about our lack of consistency, which is not a characteristics of a top teams”.
