In an electrifying match that saw the Suntory Sunbirds defeat the Panasonic Panthers with a straight-sets win (25-18, 37-35, 25-19), the Sunbirds reclaimed their championship title in the men’s Japan V.League Grand Final. Held in front of a record-breaking crowd of 9,544 spectators, this victory not only marks their triumphant return after two years but also sets a new attendance record since the league’s rebranding in the 2006/07 season. The previous record for the highest attendance was set during the 2006/07 V.Premier League Women’s Final Round.
Masaki Oya of the Suntory Sunbirds was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award, his second consecutive MVP title, acknowledging his significant contribution to the team’s championship win.
