Astemo Rivale Ibaraki have officially secured the last playoff berth in the 2024-2025 women’s Daido Life SV.League. With 22 wins and 20 losses, they locked in the eighth seed after a dominant 3-0 win over Gunma Green Wings on Saturday. Outside hitter Fuyumi Hawi Okumu Oba starred with 17 points.

Despite a 3-2 loss in the Sunday rematch, Astemo’s playoff fate was sealed. They now face top-seeded Osaka Marvelous—who clinched first place after back-to-back wins over Saitama—in a challenging quarterfinal matchup.
Astemo’s head coach Hirohiro Nakatami remains focused: “We’ll fight to win our last two regular season games and go strong into the playoffs.”
Next weekend’s action includes seven doubleheaders as the regular season nears its close.
