JTEKT Stings Aichi pulled off another major upset, defeating Osaka Bluteon 3-2 in a thrilling semifinal clash at Asue Arena Osaka. With this win, JTEKT Stings side advances to the men’s Daido Life SV.League championship final in Japan.
Led by powerhouse performances from Kento Miyaura and Torey DeFalco, JTEKT overcame the hosts in a nail-biting five-set battle (25-16, 22-25, 15-25, 27-25, 15-12). Miyaura shined with 24 points, including five aces, while TJ DeFalco topped the scoring chart with 26 points.
Despite strong efforts from Osaka’s Yuji Nishida and Miguel Lopez, JTEKT sealed the series without needing a third match.
Meanwhile, Suntory Sunbirds Osaka evened their semifinal series against Wolfdogs Nagoya with a commanding 3-0 sweep. Dmitriy Muserskiy led Suntory with 17 points, pushing the battle to a decisive Game 3 on Sunday.
