JPN M: Panasonic with Kubiak suffered the third defeat in row; Omrčen (44) led Gosei

While Toyoda Gosei and Toray have celebrated new wins in Top 6 of the Japanese Men’s Volleyball Championship, Panasonic Panthers have suffered the third defeat.

Interesting, all three matches today were ended after five sets.

Panasonic Panthers were defeated by Osaka Blazers after five long sets (23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 18-25, 13-15). Top scorers: Fukuzawa 20, Takahiko 18, Kubiak 17; Wallace 23, Takano 17. 

Leader Gosei Trefuerza outplayed JTEKT 3-2 (24-26, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-11). Croatian opposite Igor Omrčen scored 44 points in the win of his team while on the other side of the net Matey Kaziyski scored 26 points.

Toray Arrows defeated Suntory Sunbirds 3-2 although they led 2-0 in sets. At the end the result was 25-21, 25-23, 25-27, 16-25, 15-10. Nikola Gjorgiev was top scorer of the winning team with 39 points while in Suntory Yadrian Escobar scored 42 points.
