Two rounds before the end of the regular stage in the V-League, an entire composition for the second stage of the tournament in which the six best teams will take part, the Final Six, is set.

By beating the defending champions Toray Arrows on the road 3-1 (25-16, 28-26, 21-25, 25-23), JTEKT Stings claimed one of the remaining two tickets for the F6. Yuji Nishida scored 32 points (4 aces) for the winning side. The Canadian Gavin Schmitt made 25 for Toray.

Thanks to a huge display of the Cuban Yadrian Escobar – 43 points (5 aces and 5 kill blocks), Suntory Sunbirds beat FC Tokyo by a 3-2 to occupy the last vacant spot for the F6. A 3-0 defeat of Sakai Blazers to Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza also went in the favor of the Sunbirds.

Since they achieved the Final Six promotion a long time ago, Panasonic Panthers coach could give a rest to Michał Kubiak, who did not play against JT Thunders. But, despite playing without the Polish star, the Panthers prevailed by a 3-2 to secure No.1.
