Although the entire composition of the Final Six of the V-League is known from earlier, the teams who punched their tickets for this stage of the tournament use the last two rounds of the regular stage to prepare themselves for it in the best possible way.

Defending champions and also third-placed Toray wrecked leaders Panthers in a big match by a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-17) with 20 points from the Canadian Gavin Schmitt. The Pole Michał Kubiak did not play for the Panthers, for which Takahiko Imamura scored 12 points.

Thanks to 22 points from the Croatian Igor Omrčen, the second-placed Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza smashed sixth-placed JTEKT Stings.

The fourth-placed JT Thunders, for which Australian Thomas Edgar poured in 40 points (!), beat fifth-placed Suntory Sunbirds in four sets.

In a duel between the two sides at the bottom of the standings, Sakai Blazers swept FC Tokyo
