The U.S. Men’s national volleyball team defeated Dominican Republic in straight sets 25-17, 25-21, 25-10 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
This victory won’t send the USA to the semifinals even though they won the Pool because they have the lowest point differential of any of these three pool winners.
Canada have also ended the Pool with two wins and in the last game, they beat Trinidad & Tobago 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-10).
Mexico had three wins out of three matches in Pool C. Costa Rica were powerless to stop the Mexicans 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-10).
John Speraw’s side will meet Costa Rica in the quarterfinals while the Dominican Republic will meet Trinidad & Tobago. The winner of the USA – Costar Rica game will play against Canada in semis, while Mexico are waiting for the winner from Dominican Republic – Trinidad & Tobago game.
