The group stage of the competition at the women’s volleyball tournament of the 2018 Barranquilla XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games was finished and two best teams already secured their places at the semifinal.

As the winners of Group A (Dominican Republic) and Group B (Colombia), they automatically moved to semifinals while the second and third ranked teams will play in the quarterfinals.

Group A

Cuba – Venezuela 2-3 (28-30, 25-18, 21-25, 25-12, 15-17)

Mexico – Dominican Republic 1-3 (25-22, 16-25, 19-25, 17-25)

Standings: Dominican Republic 9, Mexico 5, Cuba 2, Venezuela 2.

Group B

Trinidad & Tobago – Costa Rica 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-16)

Puerto Rico – Colombia 0-3 (20-25, 27-29, 21-25)

Standings: Colombia 9, Puerto Rico 6, T7T 3, Costa Rica 0.


Quarterfinals

Mexico – Trinidad & Tobago

Puerto Rico – Cuba
