Though Parken is a huge arena with a capacity of 38’000, the Managing Director of the Danish Organizing Committee, Mads Bang Aaen, guarantees the atmosphere there will be quite intimate. “We are excited that the ticket sale for Parken is open. We couldn’t have thought of a better timing than just before Christmas. Who wouldn’t be glad to find a ticket for the final weekend under the Christmas tree?” he says. “We have attended some handball matches held in Parken where the spectators unfortunately sat too far away from the court. That is why for the final weekend of the European Championship we will move the court closer to the spectators and therefore the tickets currently on sale are limited” he stresses.
