The reasons for parting ways are still unknown.
The 2015 European vice-champions are already looking towards new challenges, but not under the guidance of their Serbian coach Slobodan Kovač.
“We would like to thank Slobodan for everything he did for Slovenian Volleyball and the Slovenian national team in the past two seasons. He took our team towards victory in the FIVB World League Group 2 Finals two years ago, and secured Slovenia’s first-ever World Championship appearance. However, the decision taken unanimously by both sides is to part ways,” announced the President of the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia, Metod Ropret.
