Pärnu VK became the Estonian Men’s Volleyball champions for the eighth time in the club history. They swept the 2018/19 Eesti Meistrivõistlused Meestele playoff finals with Bigbank Tartu by a 4-0, winning Game 4 in the tie-break, partially 25-20, 20-25, 27-25, 15-25, 15-11. Pärnu prevailed in Game 1 and Game 2 of the finals by a 3-1 and needed five sets to beat Tartu in Game 4.
Pärnu managed to claim the national title despite having a rather poor start of the regular season in which they suffered as much as four defeats in the first six games. But in the second part of the season, they were on a high level, eliminating TalTech in the quarterfinals (2-0) and reigning champions Saaremaa VK (3-0) in the semifinals.
A 21-year-old Brazilian opposite hitter Chizoba Neves Atu crowned the season in which he earned the Eesti Meistrivõistlused Meestele best scorer title (227 points) with 26 points (three aces) in Game 4 of the playoff finals. The libero Silver Maar made 77% positive reception (26 total, one error, 35% excellent). Mart Naaber scored 21 points for Tartu including seven kill blocks.
