DevelopRes Rzeszów good start to the Polish Women’s TAURON Liga season with a 3-1 victory over Moya Radomka Radom in the third round, handing the visitors their first defeat of the campaign.
Croatian opposite Mika Grbavica led the defending champions with an impressive 28-point performance, earning the MVP award. She converted 27 of her 52 attacking attempts for a 52% success rate and added one block.
The hosts claimed a closely contested opening set before Radomka responded to level the match. However, DevelopRes regained control in the third set and maintained their momentum through the fourth to secure their third consecutive league victory.
Marrit Jasper contributed 15 points and Weronika Centka-Tietianiec added 11 for DevelopRes. Kateryna Zhylinska led Radomka with 19 points, supported by Weronika Gierszewska (15) and Aleksandra Dudek (13).
DevelopRes held the advantage in attacking points (59-48), attack efficiency (39%-36%) and service aces (4-2), while Radomka recorded more successful blocks (16-14).
