Joel Banks became the new coach of the Finnish national team. He replaced Tuomas Sammelvuo, who became the coach of the Russian team.

Kamil Sołoducha and Oskar Kaczmarczyk will not continue their work, while Paweł Baryła will remain in the coaching staff.

At the beginning of March, Tuomas Sammelvuo has announced that he will become the new head coach of national team of Russia, and for the Finnish team, it meant that they will be without head coach for the first time since 2013.

Joel Banks, born in 1975 in Great Britain, is currently a coach of Greenyard Maaseik a team that is fighting for the championship trophy in Belgium.

I am very happy and proud. This is a big step for me and my motivation is really high. I was interested in combining work in the club and in the national team, it’s great that now I will have the opportunity. Volleyball is my world and my passion,” says Banks.
