The 8 gold medalists from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games – Zhu Ting, Yuan Xinyue, Zhang Changning, Ding Xia, Yan Ni, Lin Li, Gong Xiangyu and Liu Xiaoyu – are among the 14 players of the list that China national team head coach Lang Ping composed for the Tokyo International Qualifier.
The player who stood out with her performances for the national team recently, the setter Liu Wei, was not summoned for the qualification tournament that China will organize in Ningbo (Pool B), and it is a bit surprising.
