Andrea “Annie” Drews was named the best female volleyball player of the year in the United States.

Drews was named 2019 USA Volleyball Female Indoor Player of the Year. The 25-year-old opposite hitter won three medals with her national team this year: one gold (FIVB Volleyball Nations League) and two silver (FIVB World Cup and NORCECA Championship).

Drews was the top scorer for the U.S. National Team overall in 2019 with 388 points. She was awarded MVP of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League and Best Opposite Hitter at the 2019 FIVB World Cup. This season, Drews plays in the Japanese team JT Marvelous.
