Although the official announcement on the transfer is still missing, Milano head coach Roberto Piazza has confirmed it – Serbian middle blocker Okolić has strengthened the team.

“The arrival of Okolić will allow me to facilitate the work of some players like Clévenot and even Kozamernik, who have taken on heavier tasks and begin to feel some physical consequences,” Piazza stated.

However, the 26-year-old player will only compete in the CEV Challenge Cup because his presence in SuperLega would make rotation options to Piazza very difficult knowing the regulation of a limited number of foreigners in the lineup. The arrival of one-time European champion (2019) and World League winner (2016) Okolić coincided with the cardiac problems that middle blocker Aimone Alletti has and due to which will be sidelined for a while. Okolić wore the jersey of the Greek side P.A.O.K. last season.
