The reigning champions Shanghai recorded the fourth win in as many matches of the resumed 2019/20 Super League. In Round 5 (Round 2 of the quarterfinal stage), they defeated Jiangsu in four sets, partially 23-35, 25-20, 25-22, and 25-23.

The opposite hitter Wu Pengzhi was the highlight for Shanghai with 24 points, including 4 aces. What might worry the Shanghai head coach Shen Qiong is that his starting setter Guo Cheng got injured in the opening set and couldn’t play the rest of the match.

After exactly two hours of a play of which the first set took a large portion of it (35 minutes), Sichuan prevailed over Henan (3-2). Guo Shunxiang topped the winning side with 25 points.
