JPN M: Muserskiy & Co. become leaders in charts, 6th win in row for Wolfdogs

The Suntory Sunbirds are the leaders of the 2020/21 Japanese Men’s Volleyball Championship.

After prevailing over Panasonic Panthers for the second time in two days in the 2020/21 V.League Division1 regular season for men, this time in Round 8, the Suntory Sunbirds became the leaders in the charts. This was the fifth win in a row for Dmitriy Muserskiy and companions that got them to 7-1 and 20 points. The Russian giant led Sunotory in scoring and blocking today with 29 points, including 5 blocks.

The Wolfdogs Nagoya (the Pole Bartosz Kurek 21 points, Tomohiro Ogawa 93.3 % reception) beat VC Nagano Tridents by a 3-0 and recorded the sixth successive win in the competition and now share the second position in the charts with the Panthers (6-2 and 18 points apiece).

The Toray Arrows (Hiroki Ozawa 27 points, Kentaro Takahashi 78.6 % attack, Takumi Yamaguchi 71.7 % reception) defeated FC Tokyo in five sets and prolonged the series of victories to three.
