Channon-Thompson
The member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Team, Channon Thompson, strengthened the vice-leaders of the 2020/21 Hungarian Women’s Championship (Nemzeti Bajnokság Női Extraliga) Nyíregyháza. A 26-year-old outside hitter has signed a deal until the end of the season.
Thompson was without a club after leaving Germany’s Allianz MTV Stuttgart in May. She struggled with a plantar fascia injury (she sustained it in November 2019) and never fully recovered, which was the main reason why the Bundesliga team decided not to renew the contract with her.
