The 2020/21 Chinese Men’s Super League ended with a triumph of Beijing.
Following a 3-2 victory over reigning champions Shanghai in Game 1 of the playoff finals, the club from the country’s capital prevailed in Game 2 as well and did it confidently – 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-28) in the city of Qinhuangdao, who hosted the bubble for the competition. Jiang Chuan top-scored Beijing today with 20 points, while Gu Jiafeng set up 4 blocks. Liu Libin made 71 % attack (12/17) and 71 % reception (21 digs, 71 % perfect).
Beijing won the league title for the 3rd time in history, the first time in 7 years, doing it in an impressive way not losing a single game (10-0) throughout the highly shortened season (12 days overall).
