Asterix
In the single-game final of the 2020/21 Belgian Women’s Liga A playoffs, Asterix Avo, which had ended the regular season as leaders, beat 3rd-seed Jaraco LVL As-Tongeren (commonly known as Limburg) by a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-15). Thus, the Kieldrecht-based club added the national championship gold to the one previously won in the cup.
It is the 4th title for Asterix since the merger of Asterix Kieldrecht and Avo Melsele in 2016 and the 14th title in total given that Asterix Avo succeeded all trophies won by the ex-Asterix Kieldrecht. As for Limburg, the club created by the fusion of As and Tongeren (7 national titles, the last in 2007) in 2019, they still wait for their first-ever title.
