The legendary Italian outside hitter Piccinini, who has 503 appearances for the national team, decided to retire. She returned to the court in January 2020 after announcing her first retirement from volleyball. Now, at the age of 42, Piccinini decided that’s it when it comes to professional playing, meaning Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio was her last club.

In her career, she has won 5 Serie A titles, 4 Italian Cups, 7 CEV Champions Leagues (2-time MVP), the historic world gold with the national team (in Berlin in 2002), and 2 titles of European champion.
