In a landmark move for international volleyball, the 30th edition of the Del Monte® Supercoppa will be held for the first time outside Italy, in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The matches are set to take place on Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, 2025.

The announcement was made during a press conference in Riyadh, attended by top officials from Lega Pallavolo Serie A, Saudi Crown, and the Saudi Arabian Volleyball Federation.
Massimo Righi, President of Lega Pallavolo Serie A, described the agreement as a major milestone:
“We’ve long sought to bring one of our flagship events abroad. Hosting the Supercoppa in Dammam not only marks a first for Italian team sports—excluding football—but also signifies a bold step towards global visibility for Italian volleyball.”
Righi highlighted the strategic value of partnering with Saudi Arabia, calling it an “expanding region that embraces innovation and modern sports vision.” He acknowledged the potential challenges for local fans but stressed the long-term benefits for the sport’s global profile.
Fabio Fistetto, CEO of Lega Pallavolo Serie A, emphasized the long-term nature of the partnership:
“This collaboration opens doors for technical and organizational growth, with a possible five-year horizon. Saudi Arabia is a strategic territory for us.”
