Al-Rayyan got off to a solid start taking 25-21, but lost the momentum in the second set and gave away by 14-25 defeat.
With 25-15, 25-20 finish, Al-Rayyan proved its prowess and is all set to continue its dominance in the season.
In the other match, Al-Arabi maintained its upper hand over Al-Ahli by a comfortable 25-17, 25-18, 25-23 triumph.
Nasser Al-Maliki, Head of Al-Rayyan team was pleased with his team’s performance after a disastrous start and believed the combination between the professional and other players are working just right for them. Al-Maliki hopes for a good show when they meet on Wednesday.
