The team of head coach Stefan Sr Chrtiansky made short work of their opponents to book their first win. The best scorers of the match were Peter Michalovic and Stefan Jr Chrtinasky with 14 points. On the other side, Hartmann Ditlevsen was a top scorer in Danish team.
Slovakia had six block kills and three aces while Denmark only had two blocks.

A different scoring system is tested in the 2013 CEV Volleyball European League with all sets – with the exception of the tie-break – played up to 21 points and one single technical time-out at 12. Head coaches can call for two time-outs per set.
