One set down, the Caribbean came from behind to get their ticket for Friday’s quarterfinals versus Italy. I have no words to describe my feelings, said Dominican Republic coach Roberto Rocha Wagner.

Dominican Republic coach Roberto Rocha Wagner said: “Tonight our hearts made the difference. We absolutely wanted this win and eventually succeeded. I have no words to describe my feelings.”

Dominican Republic captain Pamela Marie Soriano: “I am happy my team mates helped me out today. I experienced a bad day. We are delighted to move to the quarterfinals.”

Colombia coach Mauro Marasciulo: “We started well but could not pull through. Especially behind the service line, my players made too many wrong decisions. We helped the Dominican Republic coming back.”

Colombia captain Andrea Estrada: “We believed in a sensation after the first set. Later on, we committed too many unforced errors what finally cost us the win.”
