GP: USA reached finals with 3-2 victory over Bulgaria (PHOTO)

USA edged Bulgaria 3-2 (16-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15, 15-8) on the third and final day of action in Pool M of the FIVB World Grand Prix at Sendai City Gymnasium on Sunday, sealing their spot in the Finals.

USA improved to 8-1 and 22 points, while World Grand Prix debutants Bulgaria dropped to 6-3 but raised their points total to 19.

Elitsa Vasileva was the top scorer in the match with 20 points while Kristin Hildebrand led USA with 15.

Bulgaria outblocked USA 14-11 and both teams had six service aces. Bulgaria made 24 errors to USA’s 21.
