The defending champions, Las Cangrejeras de Santurce, are just one win away from advancing to the semifinals of the Puerto Rican Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF). They swept the Valencianas de Juncos in straight sets—25-17, 25-20, and 25-19—at the Rafael G. Amalbert court in Juncos.
Santurce controlled the match, especially in the final set, where a key block against Emily Elliot pushed them ahead 19-15. Although Juncos briefly closed the gap, errors on their side allowed Santurce to reclaim and extend their lead.
Statistically, the Cangrejeras led across most categories: 31-28 in attacks, 10-4 in blocks, and 52-47 in defenses. Andrea Rangel and Tamara Otene were standouts, scoring 14 and 11 points respectively.
The next quarterfinal match in Section B is set for March 29.
On onather sidr, Section A, the Guaynabo Mets will face the Naranjito Changas.
