After three straight losses to Houston, LOVB Atlanta finally got their revenge with a gritty comeback win — 13-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-20 — at the Fort Bend County Epicenter.
The win clinches the No. 1 seed for Atlanta in April’s LOVB Finals. Star outside hitter McKenzie Adams led the charge with 18 points, including 15 kills and two aces. “It’s great to be number one,” Adams said. “But the mindset stays the same — show up, work hard, and stay locked in.”
Despite the loss, Houston hit some milestones — Jordan Thompson landed her 200th kill and Micha Hancock served her 20th ace of the season.
With one match left, Houston now needs a win or a little help from Madison to stay in second place. But if these two meet again in the Finals, it’s shaping up to be one fierce rematch.
