These figures are totally out of reach for the other venues of this year’s European League with 1’600 supporters on the stands for the home match of Spain against Greece in Teruel while 1’500 cheered on the Czech girls in Brno as they powered to a home win over Greece.
While more than 9’000 spectators followed in Subotica the first round of Pool A, 2’770 were to be seen on the stands in Brno for the first leg of action in Pool C. In the men’s event good figures were registered in Katerini, Greece (3’075 spectators) as well as in Teruel (for a total of 4’800).
