Italy achieved a five-set victory over France, as both teams move on as the winner of Pool A and the best of the five runners-up.
After Serbia and Slovenia made it to the second qualification round directly from last year’s European Championship and the Czech Republic won first-round Pool E on Saturday, the line-up of eight Europeans teams that will vie for two World Championship spots in May is now complete.
