“We must forget our victory with MODENA and focus only and exclusively on the important matches with Zaksa,” says Bulgarian-born coach Radostin Stoytchev. “We should not underestimate Zaksa only because they are out of contention for the title in their national league. They are a talented team with many interesting players and have just recovered two experienced players such as Pawel Zagumny and Michal Ruciak. On top of this, Dick Kooy has been playing really well and therefore they are a dangerous opponent. We have to play our best and I expect a tough battle which will be decided by the last rally of the second match coming up later this week in Italy.”
12 players have travelled to Poland for the match with Zaksa with only Sebastiano Thei having stayed at home. Filippo Lanza and Sebastian Sole have fully recovered from their injuries as they showed in the brilliant match they played with MODENA on Saturday, so most probably Stoytchev will go for the same starting line-up he used for the game with Parmareggio. The Italians travelled to Poland already on Sunday evening and will have a couple of training sessions on site before the match with Zaksa.
