In the final of the South American Qualification Tournament for the 2015 World Cup in Japan, Argentina won gold medal after defeating Venezuela by 3-2, with partial 26-24, 23-25, 25-22, 23-25, 21-19.
Both teams were awarded with two spots to the World Cup after winning yesterday’s semifinals and they will have the chance to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
The brave Venezuelans put in trouble the Argentinians ready to end their invincibility.
Argentina did not lose a set in the tournament and even fell in the first set, but was not beaten at the end.
Nicolás Bruno was the best scorer in Argentina with 17 points. Héctor Salerno noted 16 for Venezuela.
Chile took the third place in the tournament after beating Colombia by 3-0.
