Today, Serbia defeated Bulgaria 27-25, 25-12, 25-18 and secured the 1st position in Pool B.
On the other side Germany was stronger than The Netherlands 25-13, 25-23, 25-22 and on that way they achieved their second victory in the tournament. The German side presented a higher level of proficiency in the game and accomplished a remarkable triumph.
In the opening clash of the day in Pool A, Poland convincingly beat Romania in three sets 3:0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-16). With President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva also in attendance, Azerbaijan further cemented their pool lead after a third straight win, this time over Italy in four sets (25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22).
